Terms used in this guide

Pre-LCI and LCI describe different vehicle phases.

Pre-LCI is the original version before BMW's Life Cycle Impulse update.

LCI is the facelifted phase. A conversion changes selected exterior parts towards that later style; it does not turn the vehicle into a factory LCI model.

RHD means right-hand drive. UK-market lighting and vehicle specification still need to be checked for the individual car.

01Will a Pre-LCI to LCI kit fit every BMW with the same model name?
No. The chassis generation, body style, build period, original bumper and lighting specification, UK right-hand-drive configuration and vehicle options must all match the kit route.02Does a conversion kit always require coding?
No single rule applies to every kit. The current G20 route is supplied on a no-coding basis subject to final vehicle confirmation; G30 and G05 lighting and wiring requirements must be confirmed before installation.

03Should body kit panels be painted before a test fit?
No. Trial fit the bumpers, trims, lights, brackets and clips before final paintwork so fitment issues can be found while the parts are still unfinished.04What should I send for a JGS Auto Parts fitment check?
